Fort Allen Park Summer
This is a 16x20 oil painting that was painted "Plein Air" (painted entirely on location). This is a painting of Fort Allen Park on the Eastern Prom in Portland, Maine. This painting was a challenge. It was painted mornings for an entire summer. The sunlight was directly above which created intense light and shadows. I wanted to capture the sparkling water on Casco Bay.
