Farm House
This is a typical New England farmhouse in late fall. It was painted with pastels. The pastels help capture the intense Maine color and light. I was attracted to the deep blue sky that contrasted with the brilliant reds, oranges, and greens of the trees in the background.
I love the idea of the weathered barn that is still standing after years of use. It symbolizes the great independent New England spirit. It provides us with a warm, serene feeling.
