At the same time, it is surrounded by the beauty of Creation. Despite nature's relentless assault, the rock stands firm and secure. Nature around the rock continues to go through cyclical changes. The rock does not. It is unattractive compared to the beauty around it. However, it offers us a beauty that does not change.
